Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity or CPSD from the Institute for Supply Management examines the entirety of the supply chain to provide an understanding of supplier diversity as well as procurement of product.
A CPSD is adjunct to the ISM’s Certified Professional in Supply Management program. Certification requires one to be a CPSM, CSM, or CPM or to pass one of the CPSM exams offered by the ISM.
The stress is on diversity in this program – topics covered include company policies, planning, supplier development, and outreach. Finding diverse sources of supply and diverse individuals with varied talents are both fundamental goals of this particular certification.
